Could tomorrow really be Friday

woohooo. It's been a long week that is for sure.
Worked out twice this week so far. The trainer I hired last week seems to have bailed on me and now I have to start over with another trainer that I really haven't enjoyed my first impressions with :( not a happy camper that is for sure.

Shawn leaves to go snowboarding Saturday. That should be really fun. He has never been.

I sold 2 paintings. The Tower which I posted Sunday and the poppy but in red.

Haven't really had much time to do anything else this week.

Here's to a great weekend and some computer catch up time

you let me do it again

go all week without posting....or is there anyone even there reading this...lol

Since monday I met with the personal trainer at the gym. We did a 20 minute work out that made me so sore on thursay and Friday I could barely walk. Today, I signed up for 6 more months (24 sessions) of this torture! But he promises to make me look beautiful at the end of that 6 months...hmmmph...for the money I am paying him he BETTER!. Today was upper arms since I still couldn't move my legs well.

I have Saturday and Sunday off and go back on Monday! I haven't lost any weight since the last few weeks....but I'm really hoping that will come.
Painted these 3 paintings the last 2 days. I wish I could sell them faster because I have no room in my house at the moment for all these but if anything I will have a stash of them come September for the Arts and Crafts show...lol.
nothing much else going on here this week. The heater guys came back out and did a few more things to the heater. Really wish that was done and over with but at least it isn't in the teens now with no heat. got a very busy day tomorrow and I think I just might take my hubby out for the evening :)

Time flies by

when your having fun. Man I didn't know I hadn't been here since Thursday. Sorry about that.

Saturday it rained all day. I spent the morning doing errands and spent the afternoon painting. We actually didn't have any kids at the house saturday night so we just ate Tacos and watched TV. it was quiet.

Sunday was a nice crafty day. I got these two paintings finished, worked on my quilt, scrapped a page and cleaned a lot. That was good. I still have lots of scrapping to do that I have to get done sometime this week. Like 6 layouts worth...lol. I sold the yellow horse picture right away once I posted it on facebook. That was awesome. And I had over 80 hits on my site the other day. That was really cool. I had someone mention to me that their mom might like for me to draw several, several pictures for her to hang in her house. Which would be AWESOME! I say bring on the challenge.
Nothing much going on this week. I went and worked out some frustrations today...although my back is hurting now. All I did was walk for about 22 minutes at 3.3 speed and did the eliptical for 7 minutes. I meet Wednesday with the Trainer which is awesome. It doesn't help though that he is cute. sigh. Makes me nervous. Wish it was a lady but oh well. I have a wedding to be in...in September....so I gotta get this weight off so I can look half way decent in a dress.
okay.....off to get some more stuff done. The good thing about working out in the afternoon is I have a burst of energy that I just can't let lay around.

workout...

Number one complete! woohooo
Love that gym. And the Personal Trainer was sooooo nice and will meet with me Wednesday to get a workout plan in place.
Love it already.

Now that I am done with that and ready to start a new chapter in my life...I need to get scrapping. This weekend baby....it's going to be a scrappy weekend for sure!

another painting...and frigid temps

Well it was like 0 degrees yesterday. Can you believe that. that is with the windchill. just totally crazy. We ventured out and found several bad ice spots. On the way to the grocery store we had to creep along the road.

It is slowly melting and should all be gone by Monday I would think. We should get back up into the 50's for highs. Hopefully then we can get the heater completely working. It has hung in for almost 2 days now...knock on wood.

I got up this morning and needed to paint so here my creation for the day. This one is 16x20. I also hung the "coffee" set up in my kitchen. My first paintings to hang in my house. I am extremely proud of them :) and really like them hanging there. I think I just might go hang another painting in my bedroom that I have hung on to for a while now. Might as well enjoy them right.

didn't get any scrapping done this weekend nor did I finish working on the quilt. But I did do alot of facebooking and games...lol.

For this week: Well I have my first weigh in for the month. I plan on joining the gym down the street. I plan on completing a full week at work with no catasrophies. And I plan on attending a painting class this coming up Saturday. Here's to a good week!

A few paintings for ya...nd SNOW

There's nothing like a snow day to give you some extra creativity time. Although....

I think I would of rather been at work so that I wouldn't have to listen to arguing, etc...but anyway....the kids were out of school and the roads were pretty bad. Now I know you guys that see this stuff every year wonder what our hang up is about snow...BUT....in the south...people just do not know how to drive in his stuff. Not only did we get a dusting of snow...but what you DONT see under that pretty white stuff is the solid sheet of ice that we guys here in the south get. lovely ice. Ice that caused a 21 car pile up on 2-85 this morning. Ice that pretty much closed all the "rabbit trail" roads and secondary roads. It was a mess this morning. This afternoon. and I am sure this evening as it hasn't gotten into the 30's yet today so all this stuff is staying at least for another day.

On top of that...we had NO heat once again. What ever they did Thursday...well it blew the fuse again and this time there was NO emergency heat so we had to sleep with the kerosene heater going. Which made for a very unrestful night as I was afraid something would catch on fire, etc. the HVAC guys came back out today and replaced a heating strip and now it is running on emergency. They want to see if it will do that through the weekend and then come back out on monday to work on the actual unit to see what the problem is there.

Sooooooooo since I had to stay home today...I got 3 paintings done :) Whatcha think! All are for sale and I think they turned out pretty cool. I hug my Coffee set that I did the other day in my kitchen. I love it! And very proud of myself. I guess I need to make a few more just in case someone else likes them or I can do it as a "custom order" kinda thing. We will see I guess.

Alrighty...signing off and getting to work on this quilt that I am having a doozy of a time finishing.

Tuesday....terrible or not

Well it started off that way..that is for sure. at 2 am we woke up to the heat out once again. by 4 am it was 59 degrees in the house. We had to get the heating and air guy back out to the house again...he fiddled with a few wires and it has been working ever since. Lets hope it stays that way because the next few days are going to be COLD...like 15 degrees cold! I am really tired of the cold....and its starting to take its toll on me. Sniffles...not feeling well....just achy. I hate it.

sold another painting today. Woot woot! A lady at work bought the "Swallows in Flight" that I made a few weeks ago. I have two more paintings in the works. Both will be "Coffee" type paintings and then I have a thought for a Contemporary Horse picture. Will see how that one turns out once I start. A little nervous about that one. All in all it is really been fun and I have made enough to at least buy me some more paints which is good. now to just make enough to make extra money. Haven't scrapped in a few days....BUT I do have layouts for you to see from this months Scrap-Tastic.com kit! This was a fun kit to play with! And I can't wait until next month because I helped with this one :)
Alright...off to take a warm shower and enjoy our warm house for the evening!

Day 3 of the New Year

(well kinda odd...everytime I load this picture it turns it sideways...sorry about that)
Anyway....day 3 of the New Year completed. I managed to get a workout in yesterday and have been eating pretty healthy considering I've been home alone...which usually tends to make me snack alot. I painted this 3 peice picture set. and I LOVE it I might add. I am considering keeping it and hanging it in my kitchen and just making another one if someone is interested in it. We will see. It really doesn't go with my country theme in my house but I do love this painting.
The heater decided to stop working in the middle of the night so when I awoke to 19 degrees outside and about that cold inside (not really but it sure felt like it) I about freaked. I went and found 2 space heaters to put in the kitchen but they really didn't work all that great. Billy came home and the heater blew 3 fuses in the course of 5 hours. We have it on emergency heat, which will NOT be good for the light bill, and will have someone come out tomorrow to look at it. Right now we have a kerosine heater in the kitchen and space heaters in the bathroom to try and keep the emergency heat kicking on as much.
Got some scrapping done this weekend and started on a quilt. Still trying to decide what to make for people this next year for Christmas. I am stumped as to what to make.
I've gotta go back to work tomorrow. pooh. I was enjoying my days off but I guess we gotta get back to the regular schedule. Saved some money this weekend which is always fun. Love me some coupons and sales. Spent 4 hours cutting coupons and organizing them. It was a big paper this week. Love it. If you haven't ever tried SoutherSavers.com you MUST give it a try. I am so excited about the money she has saved me so far. My goals this year are to pay off some credit card bills and save up for vacation. I am well on my way with week one complete. I put back $50 this week and that is after spending only $100 at 2 grocery stores and Rite Aid. love it love it.
Not sure what all this week will hold but I am ready to take it all on and see.

My first choice for the new year

being healthy. eating right. working out! This is ME! picture taken 12-31-09. 165 lbs. Size 10 jeans. Take a good look because this girl is going to change!
Today is a new year...new goals....and one of those goals for me is getting back into shape and working out. I went out and bought my hand weights today. I put a bag of chips back in the cabinet and went to the fridge for a good plate of veggies. It's all about choices and making the right choices. I know that...you know that...we just have to do it.
Still thinking about joining the gym here. The only problem is my other goal is saving money and the gym is not really a money saver...know what I mean. I'm going to start with work outs here at home but if I see that I am slacking...well then the gym it is.
My first goal is to lose 10 lbs. I know I can do that because I lost almost 15 over the last year and a half. that will put me at 155lbs which is a good comfortable weight for me. To much more and my mom says I look sickly...lol. Maybe....a size 8 in jeans. That would be nice don'tcha think. I really want to get the muscles built up and stronger...work on making my back stronger so that the pain maybe will go away some. Small steps....but small steps lead to huge accomplishments.
Today is a brand new day. It's a brand new year. It's a year full of changes, happiness, excitement and fun! Join me....lets make 2010 the best year ever!
