Today is my January Art Journal Post...if you haven't checked out One Year Art Journal...you really should! I'l be the first to tell you that Art Journals have always been something I stayed away from. they made me nervous and I was afraid it would be to stressful to try. Here I am scrapping and painting and it really is just the two combined. How hard Becky...really! So I gave it a try a few months ago. LOVED the page I made. I think the key for me was finding the right book to work for what I wanted. I found this book at Barnes N Noble and it is totally hand made. All the pages are so cool and textured. I think this will be perfect for me.
Today I decided to do two things with my journal entry. One...to use the prompts at One Year Art Journal and two...to use a challenge that Dale Potter posted on her facebook page. We have had so much snow and clear skies that I love the whites and blues of this page hoping that it would capture the winter for me. I added Sticklers to the tree to mimick snow.
So month one complete and I am loving the journaling process already!

It's really gorgeous Becky! I just finished the last page in my journal from last year, and am dying to start this years prompts... art journaling is sooooo freeing - but I'm an addict, so don't listen to me...
