today is our 11th anniversary! Wow....11 years. And I love him more now than I did 11 years ago.

And he did good. He surprised me with a dozen yellow roses last night and the sweetest card. Tonight we are going out to eat...just the two of us!

Busy weekend planned. Shawn is going clothes/school shopping this afternoon. Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut and highlighted. Sunday I just want to rest. But I did call the dr yesterday and they called me in an antiobiotic for a sinus infection...thank goodness. This crap needs to get on up and out of here. It's to early in the season for this.

Here is my latest one. I did this one yesterday. I really wish I could find a way to advertise and sell them. I have sold 2 so far which is exciting....I need to move the others out as I don't have a way to keep these around here. I'm quickly running out of room :)

I put some supplies up on ebay to sell but I am not sure how they will do. I just need to make soem christmas money and soon since it is 4 months away.

Here are the paintings that I made over the weekend. I have sold two so far. The double abstract and the water/reflection one. I was excited about that. Someone asked about the three small ones but I haven't heard back from them yet. and if the flower one doesn't sell I may just hang that one in my bedroom :)

I really didn't expect to sell any of them to be honest...considering I have never really painted before. But I am finding that I LOVE this. Still have a lot to learn and as I practice I am sure they will all get better and I will learn new things.

But there ya have it. I spent all weekend doing these and I am truly addicted now. Now I just have to raise up the money to go buy more canvases :) lol

And yes I did put on my Christmas list that I need art supplies. Now I just need to get my pencils out and start drawing some. That is my next goal but it takes longer to draw a picture than it does to paint one. So we will see. Will just have to see.

Oh and good news. KAYLA GOT A JOB! They hired her today and she starts tomorrow working from 4-10! We are alllllll excited and hope this is what we need to turn this girl around and get her to grow up some. With College just started a few months away she needs to get back into the real world so to say.

We made it back...a few pictures

We finally made it back from vacation. We had a great time. The weather was perfect and even down right chilly some evenings. I was glad to get back home though to my warm bed and a real shower. But the boys had a great time and Kayla survived staying home by herself. I knew she would. Here are a few pictures for ya. Several are from the trip, the bear exhibit, shawn shootin the hooch and NewFoundland Gap which is the connection of Tennessee and North Carolina. The other two, the sky and the flowers, are from here at the house. Just playing around with the camera some.

Billy and I both had dr appointments yesterday. Blood work for both. His to double check his cholestorol and mine was a full blood workup. My blood pressure was great 120/80 even though they had to take it 4 times because no one could hear my heart beat...lol...kinda spooky.

Today I gotta pick up my photography from the art gallery...hit the grocery store to restock...and I think I may scrap a little and play on some genealogy stuff for a while. We are meeting one of billy's cousins for the first time Tuesday. She is driving down from Virginia and is of the Estes family. I think it will be pretty cool to meet her.

anyway....off I go on errands.

Finally home

We finally got home today. Around 2 I guess it was.

I was ready to get home. you can only sleep in a camper bed for so long...lol.

Plus it was really starting to smell like boys.

I will update more this weekend along with some pictures of the trip. Helen was a very pretty place and I hope we can visit again. Maybe this time just hubby and me :)
