this and That

It's GUTTERGIRLZ day! Today was our prompt day and I really loved it. Check out the blog and see what else everyone else did. Here is my layout of ME.
And when you get a moment check out onesingleseed.com because our friend T has all her page kits 60% off! What an awesome deal!
on the homefront...nothing new. Shawn is at Summer Camp hopefully having a good time. Kayla is lord knows. She lost her job over the weekend so she is "suppose" to be looking for a new one but I don't think going to the mall and movies qualifies for looking...do you? We are getting ready to go camping this weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice.
I had a Physical Therapy visit today and it appears I have moved my hips out of sorts and that is the cause for the extreme back pain this last month. No walking on inclines, elipticals or hiking. lovely. And here we are going camping. oh well. Only live once right.
Not been to creative lately but I'm trying. Got to finish this layout on my table. I think I just need some awesome pictures to work with. Now that my kids are grown I don't have near as many pictures. Hopefully vacation will give me what I need.

Finally Friday

thank goodness because one more day and I would of lost it!

The heat is sucking. seriously. I am wishing for so much rain that we float away. Anything to bring some cooler temps in here. This is what I hate about the south. I can't stand the summer or the heat. Now if I had a pool....well then maybe it would be better but nope...no pool so no likie!

Busy weekend ahead. Sunday we haul the boys to Camp Woodruff for their summer camp. And then our vacation steadily approaches.

I need to scrap. But no mood at all to get the page done that I need to. I have zero ideas.
got any for me to spark some creativitiy...pretty please

We had our talk

Nothing I can really post here.
And Billy and I had a long talk. He was great. While I cried...he listened.

On to other things...
Kayla got registered for college today. She just has to take a COMPASS test in August and then school starts in September. She also is eligible for the HOPE grant so that will be a great load off my shoulders on paying for college. At least for now. Whether she likes college or not is yet to be seen.

Shawn is down to 4 more days until he leaves for Summer camp. Right now he is nursing a really BAD sunburn and we are talking like 2nd degree burns and blisters. Within 3 days he is peeling in sheets. Baby soft PINK skin underneath. Just in time for Bleach soaked life vests and the Natahala River :)

Me....I am ready for a vacation. away from it all.

so I have decided

that I no longer know who my daughter is. She isn't who I raised and she isn't who I thought she was. Not only did I find out a few things that she has been lying to me about....I found out a few things that hurts...greatly.

Maybe Billy was right all along and she has me buffaloed as he puts it. That I have been blindsighted by what I thought was her being truthful to me but only to find she has used me. And here I have defended her. Not anymore.

I'm done. If you lie to me. I'm done.

more to come after we have a LONG talk today

Just a few snapshots

Playing with the camera as we were driving home down the interstate. I thought this turned out pretty cool

Just some shots of the flowers around here
Been playing with the camera some. Just taking shots here and there.
I have a few scrapbook pages to upload but just need to do it. I can't believe that half the year is just about done. Where has the time gone?? I have one more quilt that I HAVE to get made and I think I burnt myself out on them. Great. Hopefully I can get back in the mood and soon. I am proud of the ones I did get finished. Still haven't sold my other two purses. I hope they will sell soon so I can put the money back. I am trying to save for a new camera. Yep you heard me...a new camera. Something a little smaller than my SLR and a little bigger than my pocket digital. Me and my toys right...lol!
Been working on lots of genealogy stuff lately and have met two wonderful people...Vivian and Linda. They have been a wealth of information and just great to chat with. Been finding some cool pictures on line.
We really don't have much going on this weekend. Going to take Shadow to the lake and see my dad. That is about it. Shawn is heading back to Sun Valley Beach today but I wish he wouldn't go. He is sooooo sunburnt but the girls are calling him so I guess he has to go...lol.
HI BECCA!!! so glad I got to see you yesterday!!! love the tattoo...now I seriously need to get my drawn and figured out. Maybe we can get ours together :) a honey bee and a butterfly for me :)
alrighty....off to the grocery store so that the family isn't starving all weekend.

The kids are having fun playing at the pool and working. Well not sure about the working part being fun but it is a job. still no real job lined up for Kayla. It has to happen...and soon.

No scrapping here. No mojo. Gone. Outta here. Bye bye.

Ready for the weekend and counting down until vacation!

Another weekend gone

We got back at midnight last night from picking shawn up at Leadership Campout (NYLC). He had a great time. Minus all the bug bites, dirt and ticks...he had a really good time. Him and his friend Ricky talked all the way home...hour and a half drive.

It was great. I am so glad we sent him. Scouting is seriously the best thing I think we could of enrolled Shawn into. He got his paperwork back yesterday so he just has a few more steps left and he can apply for Eagle Scout. THAT....will be the best accomplishment ever!

So I am resting and relaxing today....Not doing anything if I don't have to! Love it.

Oh I weighed in Wednesday and lost .8 so now I am down 3.4. Although this week hasn't been good and my scale is showing up a lb which would really not make me happy.

Photography contest

Well the photography contest was Sunday. I didn't place. There were 52 entries and some of them were really WOW! It appears, after some research, that the gentleman that won seems to win pretty regularly. Last year he won 1st, 3rd and Best of Show. So oh well...I don't really see any sense and trying again if he is in there winning each year. It was awesome to see my work hanging there and even more awesome that it is hanging there until July 11th. Reminds me of high school when my art hung in the art gallery in Dallas for a few weeks. It's a great feeling.

I need to find an outlet, something to put my art into. I thought about drawing but I just don't have the time to draw right now. There doesn't appear to be very many photography competitions out there and after Sunday I am not sure mine is good enough for those. I looked for places to submit photography but couldn't find any. I haven't had any luck submitting my scrapbooking to the few places I have had luck with over the last few years. Kinda wonder if that is in the past now? Which if it is that is okay. I am so excited and pleased with what I did get published. Way excited.

I haven't scrapped much lately...maybe that is the problem...I just need to get in there and scrap but I am almost feeling like I need something...I need another outlet...something to spark interest again in me. But I just don't know what it is.

On the homefront:
Shawn's been gone now for 5 days and I am MISSING HIM!!! seriously! I can't wait for Saturday to get here. I hope he is having a great time camping. Kayla got her crown taken off and a healing post on so that her gums can heal up again. She goes back next week to the oral surgeon for review. Not sure when she will get her tooth back on again. This just couldn't have been an easy process...not us...nah. Billy...well we don't seem to agree much on the kids and now with Kayla out of school...he is wanting me to let her go just like that. Well it isn't that easy. I have had this baby for 19 years and it is hard to just let go...know what I mean. Kayla is off to open her savings account on her own today :) and hopefully will get her transcript tomorrow so we can get her college application in the mail.

nothing else exciting going on. It's actually nice to not have anything pressing to do! Give me a few more days and I will be going crazy though. Gotta find me an artistic outlet and NOW!

I present to you

My new Sophmore! Playing football at the grad party

Hats are flying. And some how I lucked up and got a picture of her in that crazy crowd of 475. she is in the bottom left corner

This is her boyfriend Chris

When she found out she got a laptop!

Accepting her diploma. the tears were really falling now! WOW. I just can't believe it

Taking the long walk back to her seat
Before graduation

When did she grow up????
my Graduate! Of East Paulding High School...Class of '09! Now an adult and ready to take on the world.

Graudation was wonderful. Over 475 students and they got it done in about 2 hours. I was amazed. The weather was perfect. And yes I cried! ALOT! The party yesterday was great. Again the weather held out wonderfully! Now the summer has officially began and all I have to worry about is getting Shawn to all his campouts and getting Kayla ready to register for college this fall. Oh and I guess saving up for the first $$ part of college. Lets hope she can get the Hope Grant or something along that lines.
Shawn is now a Sophmore. Boy he really pushed that one but ended up with a 71 in Math. He's gotta do lots better next year. Seriously better if he wants to get into Georgia Tech. Or to get the Hope Scholarship. We will see I guess. School starts back mid August so hopefully he will have a great summer and get prepared to start all over again.
and I kinda feel like part of my life is back now. no stress. No more planning. Maybe I will have some time for me now.

Graduation

Today is the day.
My baby girl graduates this evening at 7:00 pm! It's hard to believe and a time I didn't think would ever get here. Now that it is here I wonder where all the time went. She got her class picture yesterday and they look awesome. 489 Seniors! Wow.

And...today holds another surprise. Class of '89 - 20 years today since we graduated! Another huge WOW!. Now that....makes me feel old!

So....party on. Graduation tonight and party tomorrow. And I have Sunday to recoup and begin the summer!!!

Beginning of a new week

Work went by fast.
Hadly any seniors at school today but my daughter stayed all day :)
Shawn has pissed me off yet again with his laziness with school! I am not talking to him at the moment with fear I will fly off the handle and start throwing things.
Tired today and sore from all the work we did this weekend.
Scouts tonight. Don't want to go.
Nothing crafty happening around here.
New book at the bookstore I want...comes out tomorrow.
