sorry I am behind

got a little behind on my blog. Sorry about that.
Thank goodness it is friday already. We have LOTS to do this weekend as it is the last weekend before graduation. She starts her senior exams today but gets to exempt 3 of the 6 because of her attendance and grades. then they start all the graduation practice next week. Shawn is exempting 3 of his 6 also. It appears....insert crossed fingers...that he will pass Math...barely...if nothing happens from now until next friday. He has a 70 in there. We are still worried about Literature. Not sure what that grade is.

I've been trying to work out a little each day. Even if just 10 minutes. I lost 1.2 at this weeks weigh in. Now if it will just continue like that I will be happy. I would like to just hit the first goal of 8 lbs lost! I know I can do it...it's just if my body will do it....lol

No scrapping this week. To much to do and to much going on. We got all the carpets cleaned with the exception of the living room which we will do this weekend.

Oh and I sold my first person thru my etsy store. I sold the small one and shipped it all the way to West Hollywood, CA :) cool huh!!! And I sold two necklaces! Double cool.

okay off to work....

The beginning of the weekend...

I was off Thursday and Friday and really made the two days productive.
Thursday I hit the cardiologist office for my routine check up. Everything was great. Blood pressure was good. I have to go Tuesday for an Echo just to make sure there is no chamber size difference. Friday I walked the New Hope Cemetery with my sister n law and found lots of Billy's relatives. In between all of that I was able to get some things marked off my list for the party. Got some scrapping done. Got some packages ready to mail to Somerset Memories :) and I got my etsy store back up and running with my purses. I only have three up so if you like them grab it while you can because I don't know when I will be making another one. I did sell two necklaces yesterday which was cool and unexpected.

Also got my photography up and running at redbubble. I took some more pictures this morning but need to wait for them to be emailed to me since I was using someone elses camera...lol. My new want...a Sony Cybershot. Yes I am in love once again. It was a SHARP camera!! and is inbetween the size of my big one and my pocket digital. Love it love it I do :)

We started our budget so to say this weekend. Or I am giving it a trial run until I have to really start it next week. yippee...not.

Kayla works all weekend. Shawn is driving me crazy. I have spent lots of time on the computer with genealogy which has been nice. And I still have 3 days to go. Still lots to mark off my list. We have to get these carpets cleaned this weekend that is a must!

Crunch time

2 1/2 weeks left.
Shawn has a 54 in Lit and a 70 in Math. I am in over stress mode right now and don't know what to do to make sure he passes. I hate this. EOCT testing will start next week and the last week of school but he has GOT to get that Lit and Math up before then. I sent emails to the teachers so we will see what they say. I am so ready to put this year behind me. Wait...don't I say that every year of school with him. Geesh.

Okay seriously. Only 3 more years. Only 3 more years. And then I am DONE with high school. When they are in college by george they are on their own!

I have to work today and tomorrow and then I have a 6 day weekend. Thank goodness. I need the time off. I have a cardiology appointment Thursday and then will hook up with my fun SisterNLaw on Friday to go grave hopping :) I have the research bug again and just want to find some tombstones for my genealogy pictures.

I have my photography entries all frames and matted. They look awesome. So now I have that bug too and will check out Photobox.com about selling my prints. We will see. I always want to sell something or another but just never can get it off the ground good. I will post my 3 purses on Etsy this weekend and see if I can get them gone.

Okay back to school stressing....

A few projects

Here are a few projects I have been working on. Nothing big but still kinda fun and cute. The purses I am making to sell. $25.00 plus shipping if they are to be shipped out of town. I finally finished these two last night. I have one more that is smaller that I am making but had to put it away to finish some other projects.
The tags I made for SerendipityKits with the May kit. I loved the kit and fell in love with the tag so I had ot make it genealogy related.
Today was a very busy and productive day. We got up early and hit the grocery store while the boys did their scout physicals. when I got back Billy and I hit Target, Sams, Walmart and Kmart. We found the budget books we wanted. Yep we are starting a strict budget come June 1st. Dave Ramsey style. I want to get out of this credit card debt so by golly we can do this. I tried to find a shower curtain too while we were out but no go on that one. We also bought a Bissell carpet cleaner so that we could clean the carpets before the party. Billy decided to play with it and OMG I didn't realize how dirty our carperts were. Wow. It was worth the money.
Took Shawn to his friends house for the evening and we took Kayla to Sapparo's Japanese Steak house in Hiram and OMG was it the bestest ever! We are going back for our anniversary because we honestly can't afford to go there often. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Now Billy is sleeping because we have full tummies...lol
Kayla had her cap and gown pictures Friday. Only 3 more weeks people. 3 more weeks.
This week is pretty slow with school stuff. I have a heart appointment on Thursday. Oh by the way.....if you can...please help me raise money or walk with me in the Heart Walk. I am going to put a thingy on the side bar here for donations. I'm walking for myself. Anything to raise money to make healthy hearts. I am joining Weight Watchers on Wednesday. Gotta get back seriously. And then I am off Thursday thru Tuesday after Memorial day. long weekend for me. I need it.

Hump day

seriously. can I quit. everything.

The "third" car broke down yesterday. So now it is in the shop and lord knows what it will cost to fix it. $45 just for the towing bill already. So back to picking Kayla up and taking her to work, etc.

Got on the scale today. 170 people! 170! What the heck! I have been doing so well...at the lowest I got down to 162 but pretty much maintained around 167. Now I am just pissed. So I will be going back to the gym today or else going and signing up for Weight Watcher meetings again today. I did 60 crunches last night and this morning. And I done 20 push ups last night and 15 this morning. It's not much but it is a start. I just can't gain this weight back. I just can't. I have a cardiologist appointment next week and he will be livid and more than likely if my BP is up then he will give me those damn pills and I don't want them. I have to get this weight off. I have to!!!!!! I mean for Pete's sake I only need to lose 30lbs. Why is it so damn difficult.

On a brighter note...oh my you mean I actually have one these days???...Shawn passed two tests in Math and for the first time ALL YEAR he is passing with a 70. Now of course that can fall by one bad test but hey...it's passing at least for today which sure made him happy. Now if he could just get his teacher to put in his grades in Lit he might be passing in there too. And with just 3 1/2 weeks left.....come on people...work with me and get those grades in so I can stop stressing. Or maybe my outlook should just be in 3 1/2 weeks I will be stress free because one will be out of school and the other...well what will be will be and once it is done I can't stress anymore right.

I will be so glad when my kids have kids so that they can stress like this too. Then I will sit back in my beautiful lake house....sitting on the deck drinking my coffee early in the morning...laughing my arse off! Yep...that is my goal in life right now. Payback.

Good monday morning

We made it home from camping. We had a great time too. The boys were let go to wonder the park and that they did. Only calling every 30 minutes to ask if it was okay to go here and there...lol. Billy and I didn't know what to do with our selves not having kids in tow. We just walked around and enjoyed the shops and some rides. Mother's day was great. Shawn bought me a bracelet at one of the gift shops and Kayla gave me some of her pottery.

Back to monday work....and i am very tired. BUT....I only have 10 more days and I am off work for 6 days :) a mini vacation for me!!!

Kayla gets her tooth tomorrow. We are very excited about that. Graduation announcments, with the exception of about 7, are going postal today. Cap and Gown pictures are this friday. Wow guys...this marks the beginning of the last 4 weeks. (3 for Kayla since the last week is all practice). I can't believe it. And Shawn has GOT to get busy. He is failing two classes right now. It's not looking pretty.

Okay...back to work...

19 years ago....I was on my way to Ft Stewart hospital...it was an hour away from our home. I was getting ready to start a journey that would forever change my life. After about a 5 hour labor, I delivered Kayla Leigh at 12:36 in the afternoon. Just a few days before Mother's Day.

She was a tiny 6lb baby....hardly any hair....but she was mine. She was my first born.

We didn't know what a roller coaster ride these 19 years would be. And that it has. But I wouldn't trade any of those years for anything. I look at her and she has become a beautiful adult. Her artistic ability is glowing. She is several weeks away from completing her school education and jumping right back into a new education as an adult.

Happy Birthday Kayla. I'm very proud of the accomplishments you have made and I love you with all my heart.

xxoo,
Mom

today...

simply sucked!

Just makes me sad

....that I find out Billy will be a grandfather soon....and that his son want even speak to him....so he will have a grandchild that he will never see....

why is it that adults...who should know how to be an adult and should know that in the big picture of life...forgiving and forgetting is the best thing in the world....just don't seem to want to open their hearts to people.

Yes this bit of news makes me sad....makes me sad for Billy. Because he truly is a wonderful, good hearted man....

sigh...

Our heart goes out....

Our heart goes out to the family and friends of Spc. Ryan King, age 22, who was killed in action fighting for our country. Ryan was raised here in Dallas, Georgia and graduated from East Paulding High School. Ryan along with 2 other soldiers were directly attacked and sadly Ryan was one of the two killed. The status of the third soldier is unknown.

Please keep his family in your prayers as they go thru this difficult time...Ryan was suppose to come home in the next week. Now he will come home and be put to rest. I can't even imagine what this family is going thru. But I look at my son...who wants to serve this country when he turns 18...and I cry. Because I know how heart broken I would be if that was my son coming home to be laid to rest.

For those in the local area that read my blog...I will try to find out more information as to his arrangements. The Paulding County community should all come together and line the streets for this young soldiers ride to his resting place. Show your support and let his family know that he did not die in vain. That he died protecting what each of us use each and every day. Our freedom. The freedom that makes this country what it is today.

God Bless you Ryan and the time you served for our country. God Bless all the soldiers still over there fighting each day.

She survived

She worked only 4 hours but she survived her first day. And her first day....consisted of working in the ticket booth and getting to see first hand what customer service is ALL about :)!!! Needless to say she had a few people that were not so nice but I think it is great she is getting this experience. She goes back on Saturday for 4 more hours. They don't open up full time until Memorial Day weekend but I think breaking her in gently is a good thing...lol!

The weekend went by quickly. I got two purses made yesterday and cut out the fabric for 3 more. Maybe I will have some of them to take with me camping this weekend so that I can stay busy if it rains like the forcast says. I sure do hate camping in the rain!

Thursday is Kayla's 19th birthday. I can't believe she is 19 now. Wow. The time went where??? Billy is fussing at me for not letting her go...letting her out on her own more. I'm trying. She is going to stay home this weekend while we go camping. Although I think my sister will come and stay with her.

Starting to get ready for the party. I got a few decorations the other day and the invites are ready to mail. I sure hope we didn't forget anyone.

I have a few layouts to share but I will have to post them when I get home.

Productive Saturday

It's been a busy saturday that is for sure.

After I did my normal Saturday running around I had to mop the floors and vacuum. Kayla and Shawn left to go to her best friends graduation party. I totally forgot about it and was going to go but ended up having to take the car we bought to the shop to get the windshield wippers fixed. Then the storms came thru. So that put a damper on getting some things done. But I did get 3 more purses cut out and ready to stitch together. these are a little faster to put together and sew than the quilts are.

Once Kayla got back, we sat down and started doing the graduation announcements. Now if I just had everyones address it would be perfect! We still had a few invites left out of 50 so that isn't to bad I don't think! I reckon we will get those out in the mail this week sometime.

Kayla starts her job tomorrow so we had to go to the store and buy her some khaki shorts which is her uniform. Needless to say we went to Kohls and I ended up buying her 2 shorts, 1 pair of jeans, a belt, me a shirt, and the boys both a shirt. MORE than I should have that is for sure. Especially after what we are going to have to pay for the car on Tuesday when I pick it up from the shop. So I guess I better get busy making lots of purses huh! LOL!

Didn't get any scrapping done today. I just had way to much going on. I did have some funky dreams last night, one of them was I had surgery on my back. And you know the more and more I think about the more I am wondering if that is something I really should consider. I might....maybe...try to go back to the PT when school is out. She moved her office a little further away but just maybe....she can get me feeling better. If not...I am highly considering talking to the dr about surgery. I am 37 years old and should NOT feel this bad each day!

Another productive day coming up tomorrow and then we get to get ready for our camping trip this coming up weekend. Oh....and Kayla's birthday thursday:)

and on another school note. It is confirmed that she will not make perfect attendance for K-12. Get this now....they said they would wave her K and 1st grade year that was causing some issue so that she WOULD make K-12 Perfect Attendance BUT....she had ISS in the 9th grade and even though she was at school, they consider it out of class which would make her NOT get the perfect attendance. And then they proceeded to tell her it didn't matter anyway because there was no cash prize for accomplishing that. So what....she just wanted to be recognized for accomplished not missing a single day of school ever! I personally think that is AMAZING!!!!

Friday Friday

Okay this morning...I wake up and feel like a damn blow fish! I hate being over weight. Of course I am thinking of everything I can that could jump start me into losing weight. I mean just 10 lbs for now would make me happy. Just 10lbs! Why can't I seem to lose it?? I eat pretty darn good. I don't eat a ton of junk crap. I drink 64 ounces of water a day and just one cup of coffee. No cokes, no diet cokes, no tea. I hate this..I really really do.

Today Kayla goes to her orientation for Sun Valley. It's going to be another long day. Last night I was so exhausted I fell asleep SITTING UP while watching TV! And then when we went to bed...I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow.

Went to her last band concert last night. I was so sad. I can't believe that is the last one I will go to. Ever. :( But she looked so cute and they played so well. As of today...May 1st...we have only 35 more days until she graduates. And just 6 more days until she turns 19. Wow. The time is just flying by!

Make sure to stop by One Single Seed tomorrow as we are having a NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) crop with all kinds of games and challenges!
