We have had a great weekend. Yesterday, Saturday, we spent the day at my families lake from 6:30 in the morning to about 5:30 in the afternoon. We were having a bass tournament so we were helping out with it. We had 5 boats show up and the largest fish caught was just a hair from being 5 lbs. Man he was a beauty too! Got me to wanting to fish but I can't fish without live bait so I didn't do well and didn't catch anything. I was so exhausted though that I hit the bed at 8:30 and was out! We didn't get up until almost 8 this morning. The kids went to the Renisannce Festival with my sister. They had a great time.
This morning we hit the Waffle House for some yummy breakfast and then to Home Depot to get our plants for the garden. I got a few gardenia bushes and a Peonia bush to plant. Billy is building 2 more raised beds and then we will plant our tomatoes, peppers, okra and squash.
Kayla got a job! She will be working at Sun Valley Beach doing office work for now. We are pretty excited about that. But will have to fork out some money to get a cheap car for her to drive back and forth to work. This next week will be our expensive week. Kayla goes tomorrow for the mold of her tooth and then we should be getting that in just a few weeks. I want even begin to tell you how much that will cost. I could buy a good used car for what we are paying for this implant tooth. Lots going on this week too. Lots of band practice and their Spring Concert. We start working on the graduation announcements and getting them ready to mail. Got to take Kayla to orientation on Friday and then she starts work on saturday.
I haven't gotten any scrapping done since last week. Just haven't had the time to. I thougth I would sit down today while we are watching the race (that is if we get done planting) and work on making a rag quilt purse! Yep my latest "I'm going to give this a try and if it works sell some" project...lol.
Been working some on genealogy and made some new "relative" friends. That is always fun. Wish I had a few days to just sit and play on the computer and look thru my data and theirs but nope...haven't had the spare time. as always.
Hope all is well your way. We are slowing working thru the "to do" list to get ready for her graduation party. I finished a few more projects and now we are getting the flower beds out front to look half way decent. The one in the back is finished :) and then I will tackle the deck flower pots in a few weeks. Gotta keep them alive at least for 2 weeks...lol.

Tuesday and counting
Already counting to Friday. There should be something against wishing your days away. But the sooner I can get to the weekend the happier I think I will be.
Actually feel like a person today. My head doesn't hurt as bad which is good. I am ready for this stuff to get gone.
Still haven't finished the layout laying on my desk. Maybe tomorrow. I think this evening I am just going to curl up on the couch for a while. Everyone here is as grouchy as can be so I would do best to just go hide so they don't make me grouchy too...lol.
Okay so I have my 3 pictures picked out for the photo contest. Gotta have them enlarged and matted. That will be here before I know it. Also got to sit down and get ready to write out all the graduation announcements. Don't think I will get to that this weekend but maybe next. Billy told me Kayla needs to do them but my gosh have you ever seen her handwriting...nope...think I will write them out :)

My mom and dad should be coming back tomorrow from their camping trip. And we only have 2 more weeks until we head off for another camping trip for the weekend. And we found out today that Shawn has been invited to go to Greenbar which is a Scout Leadership campout for a week. I am excited about that and he seems to be too. Which is cool.

Another weekend coming to an end
They just don't last long enough. I need about 2 more days off from work. I slept so good Friday night. 10 hours of much needed sleep. But last night...not so much. I swear I was up every so many hours. I hate nights like that.
Yesterday was a busy day. I piddled around the house working on little things. Hanging pictures here, cleaning there, washing clothes, making blankets...and even got one more layout done for MMM. But now I am second guessing and wondering if I should just submit them to a mag and forget about MMM. I do that every time. I don't know why. I just don't think my stuff is wow enough for HOF or MMM.....or that my style is just to blah. Anyway.....still don't know what I will do. But i do know I seriosuly need to figure up what is up with the stitching on my computer so that I can scan these and get them stitched together. It is just not working for me.
Kayla got her announcements Friday. They look great and yes I cried. Man this will be a hard 7 weeks!
My mom and dad are off camping for 4 days. Way down in South GA with the alligators. I hope they are having a great time.
We went to the funeral home last night. My Uncle lost his dad. He was 94 years old. But I know he was ready to go home. At 94....you have to be. That is a long time to live these days.
Today will hold not a lot. I am going to try and finish some projects that I started a year ago that I wanted to get done before Kayla's party. It is suppose to storm here again. Great. Wonder what electronics we will lose this time. Geesh! Got to go feed my sisters cats since they are gone.

what a darn week
You know...there are days I just wish we had a rewind button and could go back and change a few things. This week would be one of them.
First off...don't mess with my internet...lol. I need my computer and it seems when it is not working is when I need it the most...lol. For some reason my internet is dropping. Doesn't want to stay connected more than 5 minutes at a time. So I have not been able to research, update, post, play or anything on line for several days now. I try to sneak in here or there. But if anything good comes from that I finished two layouts for MMM last night. But of course my PS6 is not scanning them right and I so hate taking pictures and uploading them that way. Then on Tuesday we come home to our TV not working. We had to go out and buy a new TV which was an expense I DID NOT WANT! But....if my internet is not working that PLEASE don't take away my TV! LOL. So we got that fixed and back up. Should I mention the doorbell stopped working too...
Kayla had a job interview Tuesday. We are crossing our fingers. This will be the first interview she has had since last summer. So it has been a long year trying to find a job. We are just waiting to hear back now to see if she got the job.
We are down to only 7 weeks til school is out. Shawn has got to bull something out of his arse because he is failing two classes right now. Kayla is doing good. Thank goodness. We get our announcements Friday so we can start getting ready to get all those out along with party invites. Which means I really need to get busy buying stuff for the party. More money I really don't want to let go of right now.
Kayla goes for her tooth on the 27th! She gets an impression that day and she should have her tooth by 2 weeks after that. We are excited. This has been a long process. She also got her glasses yesterday. She looks "smart" with them on...lol. They kinda made her sick last night but I figured they would. And as I type this what a horrible scrapper I am because I didn't take any pictures. Crap. Guess I will today...lol! Gotta always take pictures of those "firsts".
Guess that is all for now....just staying busy and trying to keep our head above the water...as I am sure most people are trying to do too.

Can't believe it is Saturday already. this week flew by!
tuesday kinda ended ugly. Hubby and I got into a huge fight. One where someone was going to walk out and leave. BUT we got it fixed I think. It's funny...well not really funny...but how our only arguements...ever...consist of the children. Why do we have to fight and argue over the kids. It's hard to. Because I see things differently than he does. I think alot of that is with the age difference but then I think alot of it is also due to his prior two boys. things happened there that just wasn't great and I think he tried to protect himself from getting hurt again but in the process pushes the kids away. Well just mainly Kayla. But then she is the only girl so that may have something to do with it too. who knows. It's Saturday now and all seems to be okay. I think I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut in some areas and it would be better. I am a little to head strong for my own good...that would be my dad's family peeking out at me. BUT I do have to admit that it is sparking a layout for me that I can use in next months Guttergirlz project!!
Took the whole family to the eye dr this morning. Shawn was perfect 20/15. As I new he would be. Kayla on the other hand I was worried about. She has been complaining lately she couldn't see. I took her 3 years ago but wow.....she was 20/60 and 20/50! NOT good! At least for an 18 year old. So she will be getting glasses. She is like a -1.75 in the right and like a -.25 -.50 in the left. That right is CRAZY. And Billy has to update his. He is now in a +2.25 bifcoal...giggle.
Kayla also has a job interview Tuesday at Sun Valley Beach. Cross your fingers. She needs this. It's not a pernamnet job but at least it is one for now.
Okay.....so I need to post some layouts that I have soooo been slacking on doing. Sorry about that. Posting those in just a bit.
Oh and my mind was made up and MMM here we come. I have my first layout 95% done and started on my second. So if I can just work a little here and there I think I will have the 4 of them done. I wanted to really try out for the Rusty Pickle DT call also but I think that would just be to much at this time to try and get completed. Especially with all the stuff coming up in the next few weeks.

Hello all
Good Tuesday Morning!
Out camping trip was GREAT! We packed up Friday...and even took the dog...and headed to the campsite. Took us about 45 to get there in the Friday traffic. Shadow did great...actually better than I thought he would. He stayed in his cage thingy when ever we put him in there and didn't complain. I didn't know how he would do at night but Billy only had to get up once to walk him. He didn't even bark! It was kinda cold Friday night. Saturday we woke to a chilly morning but it was so nice by lunch time. Shorts came out and we just layed around in the sun. I got a pretty good sun burn that day. We took Shadow home just so he wouldn't have to deal with the upcoming bad weather. Sunday was suppose to rain but the boys got up and went fishing and the sun popped out and it really turned out to be a beautiful day. I have never in my life seen a GREEN sky....yes Green. From all the pollen. It was like pollen clouds. Amazing but so nasty to breathe. We all got headaches and our eyes hurt. It was gross. We cooked a big supper Sunday night and sat around the campfire playing games and just chatting. Oh and making smores. We turned in kinda early....funny how just laying around camp makes ya tired.
I finished my book. Shawn fished for two days with his new fishing pole. I took lots of pictures. Kayla just stayed around playing games. Billy just enjoyed the outdoors. Sunday night the bad weather came in. Although we didn't get rain like I thought we would...I did think the wind was going to blow over our camper. It was horrible. It beat and banged along the camper and the awning wasn't helping much. We thought about rolling it up at 1 in the morning but we waited until the sun came out and then we put the awning up. It was cold and windy. yucky camping weather. So we packed up as soon as we could and our friends Kim and Charles, who was camping with us, packed up too. They were going to stay until Wednesday but when the weather calls for SNOW...its time to pack up. We got home about 1 in the afternoon. It was truly a great campout. Relaxing and refreshing. A little sunburt and 3 inches of pollen in my lungs but overall it was great.
We made our first backyard potatoes and cherry cobbler in our cast iron dutch oven and I must say OMG it was yum!!!
so today I have the day off too and I'm sitting here waiting to get the kids up. We have dentist appointments this morning, last minute grocery run, petsmart and target run. Then I am coming home to scrap. I actually got 2 pages done yesterday! WOHOOO.
We got a call from Billy's dr. He went Friday. His cholesterol is bad. high actually at 243 for the total and the LDL is 153. The HDL is good they said at 81 and his PSA test was fantastic which is good. So they called him in Zoclor to start taking one a night for 3 months and then go back for a checkup. I'm not sure if he will take these meds but we will see. I don't want him stroking out or having a heart attack on me. So I will do what I need to make him get healthy. Guess the whole family needs to turn around and start. Sooooooo we will be cooking better that is for sure. And not as much junk. Shawn is trying to bulk up so I know he needs certain things. Kayla just needs to lose some weight and start trying to eat healthier...but she is the hardest to open her eyes to what she needs to do. Me...well the weight loves me and just hates to leave...lol. But I'm trying.
Oh.....and while camping I came to the decision that I will once again......throw care to the wind....and try out for Memory Makers Masters. I've tried twice before. and out of those I did get one layout published which was exciting. So now that you don't have to send them the layouts I really want to do it again. Now to just come up with 4 really WOW pages. yeah...that is the hard part.
Okay off to get this day started. Pictures of my camp out to come later today!

Going camping
Well first off I am proud to announce that Kayla DID win the drawing contest she entered. She won a $25 Gift Card to Best Buy and a movie ticket. She was excited...and I was tickled!
We are leaving to go camping tomorrow. For 4 full days. It will be nice to get away. But I will miss my computer and all these fun games I have grown so addicted to. Maybe it will be good to get away from the computer...lol...
