Still UNpatiently waiting my sons results but we have come to the conclusion that if it was something horribly bad...they would of called already! Maybe they will call today.
I got my "I Run with Vampires" bracelet saturday and LOVE it I might add. I have worn it every day. Hmmmm wonder if that is why I am dreaming of my dear sweet Edward? lol. Did I mention I bought me a T-shirt that says "I am Bella" with a description of her. I am soooo Bella. It really is funny actually.
Tonight I get to come home and actually STAY. I don't have to go anywhere...do anything. Nope I get to enjoy sitting at home. Although I am sure I will find something to do. I want to scrap a little but with the survivor challenge coming out tomorrow I might just wait a few more days. And I am still trying to decide about the SC Tally Rally. I sooooo want to go but I am so nervous with all this gas stuff around here. But I want to meet all those ladies and it is driving me crazy!!! So I am still thinking on it.

East Paulding Raider Brigade....
Did AWESOME tonight. It was a beautiful night nestled in the mountains of Jasper, Georgia. Nice crisp evening. Lots of screaming kids from all over. East Paulding was the next to the last band to play. The band two spots in front of them ROCKED IT!! Totally. We new right away they had won the whole thing. But EP gave it their all...they placed 1st in their division in several things and they also didn't place in a couple which was sad. BUT....out of 16 bands East Paulding Raiders placed 2nd Overall!!! way to go Raiders!!!!! (and yes the band that we thought would win Grand Champion. Did.) but...the beat goes on and off to the next competition!
ROCK on EPH

They WON! Another one! EPHS is now 4-0 for the season. What a way to come off of last year and what a way to start off with the first time being in 5A! They played Marietta High last night and won 27-7!
And much luck to the Raider Brigade tonight as we head to Jasper for our first competition. Along with 16 other bands. More to come...with hopefully a 1st place win :)
Oh and shall I mention...5 weeks into school and Kayla has a 33 in Advanced Marketing and a 48 in computer apps. When I mention this to her she says "Yeah I know and I'm working on it". Um. Ok. I'm thinking no boyfriend until the grades get up. That should do it don'tcha think!
Got my Twilight bracelet! It ROCKS
And here is my layout for the week. This was our first Survivor Challenge at Tally. It had to be 12x12, use an owl or deer, title must be Life Is Beautiful, use 3 pictures, use 2 photo corners, journal on a cloud, make a paper piecing tree and use stitching on a side. I think I got all the elements covered.

Finally Friday
Thank goodness. I don't think another day of this week would of been beneficial to me.
We managed, after several more hours are arguing and confusion, got Shawn's MRI completed. It turned out being an MRI with dye contrast. I asked why. The answer, "so that we can see if there there is a mass easier". Great. Shawn did wonderful. It took about 45 minutes. The technician came out while Shawn was getting dressed and told me that he would not be surprised if the dr ordered a CT Scan. That didn't make me much more comfortable. Then he asked how long Shawn had this knot. Shawn just simply asked him "what is it?" And of course the technician couldn't tell him that. Hopefully we will hear from the dr this morning. They were suppose to deliver the results to the dr STAT. At the same time Kayla was at the same drs office because she was sick. She has a horrible sinus infection. They also did blood work to check her iron and they tested her for mono. Mono test came back negative. So we just await her blook work now. But she got an antibiotic shot in the office and came home with antibiotics, cough medicine and nasal spray. And she told me that while she was there the dr kept asking about Shawn and that she was worried about him. Okay...another not good. They are all getting me so worried about this. But then my brain tells me....well if he has had it for 2 years then it couldn't be anything really bad or else he would of been sick...right? So I'm thinking it can't be anything serious. I sure hope they call today.
Football game tonight. EPH v/s Marietta High. We are 3-0 :)
Competition tomorrow night in Jasper so we want be home until midnight I'm sure. And then Shawn starts his Eagle Project tomorrow. I'm nervous about that too.
Still reading book three...Eclipse. Still loving every bit of it. I can't wait for my bracelet to come in. I hope it is this week. Actually I hope it is today. I want it! like NOW...lol.
Oh and did I mention my husband shaved his beard off??? Man it is weird seeing him without one. I love his soft face but I miss my beard. I think he said he would start growing it back this weekend. I hope so.
First challenge is up at TallyScrapper in the Survivor challenge. And boy is it a doozy of one. I am going to "try" and scrap this evening since I don't have anywhere to go and will be waiting up for Kayla to come home. It will feel good to scrap. I haven't been in that room for several weeks now. And I am pretty sure that Memory Makers didn't like the layout I sent in for an upcoming book. Oh well. And only 1 week until the results for the Dream Street DT. Once I read the blog and saw some of the names entering...yeah...there is no way. I can still hope I guess right?

Can I just scream...
really. I think I would feel better.
Well to start off the good news. The exhibition last night was WONDERFUL. I cried. of course. why? Because it was the last one my daughter would be in...sniff. But it was still nice. It was strange seeing the Patriots march with only 50 band members...when I went to school there we had over 120. Kayla's band, East Paulding was one of the largest ones out there with 130 kids.
Now for the crummy news. Work Sucks! I hate it. especially this week. And the air conditioner...well my dad took a look at it and we are waiting to see if it stops working again. Lets hope not. And Shawn's MRI...well that will cost us anywhere from 3-5 THOUSAND dollars! Yep you heard that right. If we can't get the insurance to appove it by 3 tomorrow afternoon...I will either have to pay that amount or reschedule and continue fighting with the insurance company. Hey people. (insurance and medical people) I just want to make sure my son is HEALTHY please and it not cost me an arm and a leg! HELLO!!!
I'm so glad today is almost over. I want a shower and just curl up with my book.
I still have so much to fix on my computer. I don't have any of my genealogy on here anymore. None of my layouts or pictures. My printer has still not been installed. All my favorites still need to be put back on. And really...I just don't have the time. this week has sucked what ever energy I had completely out. And this weekend....yeah...I wish it was 5 days longer so I could fit everything in. sigh.

Tuesday...blah
I'm tired! Seriously.
Band exhibition this evening. Can I just say I don't want to go....there is nothing like fighting hundreds of other band parents all crammed into a stadium to watch all the bands. It's just like competition saturdays (which might I add begins this saturday in Pickens County) and it is just craziness. BUT....it is the last one ever for my girl so I will drag my tired fanny to it this evening. It's at Hiram High School so I have some time to run home, finish reading my book, eat some supper and load up to head on out again.
Sticker shock is what I am in currently. Not only did we JUST get the order form for the Senior stuff but it was due TODAY. Hello....lets not give the parents time to think on things. Invitations were not as bad as I thought they would be thank goodness but we had to pay $45 for the cap, gown, diploma and tassle. There will be a $35 graduation fee??? FEE to graduate. Now I have heard everything. Of course we have to get her scheduled for the SAT, ACT or Asset test. And like NOW. So much to do. The yearbooks for EPHS will be $80 this year! Okay so that is $160 for both my kids. CRAZY!!! And do you know how many kids are in the graduation class this year....take a guess. My class in 1989 was 356 kids. Kayla's class....over 500!!!!! The largest graduation class in EPHS history. And get this....the ceremonies are on a friday night at 7 pm! It will be flipping midnight before we get home...lol! I brought all the paperwork with me to work to go over...it will take a while for this to all sink in.
Shawn. The closer his MRI gets the more nervous I am. Please send a prayer for him okay. On the freshman homefront..he is doing pretty good. His Spanish II is kinda stinking but he is doing not so bad in all his other classes and he is really enjoying Advanced Math (which I knew he would). I am very proud that he is doing well so far. I should knock on wood shouldn't I. It's only been 5 weeks since school started...lol.

Good Monday morning
NOT. What a weekend I tell you. What a weekend.
I decided not to go to the East Paulding vs McCechern Football game friday night. We won! But I am sure it was a crowded mess up there. I pulled in the school at 3:30 and ALREADY people were parking in the grass for the game. Nuts I tell ya.
Saturday we got up and worked Shawns yard sale for his Eagle Project. It sucked. Bombed. We had what....maybe 9 people show up in a 9 hour timespan. BUT he did make $62.00 and a wonderful online friend donated $20! so that was great. He has just $168.00 left to raise but I think he can do it. He starts his project next week.
And then some time Saturday 7 horrible viruses decided to take over my computer. Destroyed. I was able to back up my pictures, documents, genealogy data and my layouts but lost everything else. I spent sunday rebuilding the computer. Now I can't find my disc for my printer to reinstall it. Great. If anything came good from it...it runs faster now...lol.
Lost all my favorites too. I always hate that. It was about 5 years worth of favorties too.
Today is Senior Parent night. We get to go and listen to what is expected of the kids, what TO expect this year, etc. Already they are asking us to order the cap and gown...and announcements. It's a crazy week. Tomorrow is the Paulding County band exhibition and we will go and watch all the bands play. And Thursday is Shawn's MRI. I am a little nervous about that. Friday is an away game thank goodness. And then Saturday Shawn starts his Eagle Project and Kayla has a band competition in Pickens County. BUSY day indeed that day.
I'm a little half way thru the second Twilight book, New Moon. I am really enjoying rereading these. I missed so much reading them so fast. I also bought me a Twilight shirt friday AND a "I Run with Vampires" bracelet that is GORGEOUS. I was going to try and make my own Twilight jewelry but yeah....changed my mind!

sigh.

I so didn't want to post again because I didn't want that wonderful picture to go away. swoon. Edward. Bella. OMG. I will go crazy before November.
Anway...here is another for your entertainment :) Now seriously...wouldn't you want him kissing on you in a dark forrest! sigh
okay enough drooling now. I had to take Shawn to the dr yesterday. He has been sick for over a week now. He finally told me he wanted to go which is a sign he truly doesn't feel well. Soo....off we went. He has a sinus infection and bronchitis. They gave him a shot and then loads of antibiotics and decongestants. AND took some chest xrays. It appears the dr is slightly concerned with the knot that has been on his chest for a few years now. She says it shouldn't get bigger or hurt which it does. So we have an MRI scheduled for next Thursday. If you would please say a prayer that it is nothing serious.
It's a beautiful day today. I have all the windows open and airing out the house.
AND....on a sudden decision...I submitted some work to the Dream Street Papers Design Team call. I had the honor of being a Guest DT member last December and LOVED their stuff. I will not hold my breath because I don't seem to have much luck when it comes to getting on a MDT but I really am hoping. Secretly. Cross your fingers.

seriously.

I.have.it.bad! I found this widget ------->
I can't wait for the movie. I'm rereading the series and I am in LOVE with this picture. Okay. Call me silly. But I want a love like that! Don't get me wrong...I love my husband...but if only he could be a little bit more romantic. And show me a little more. Or just ooh and awwwh if I look pretty one afternoon. I miss that. Or if I could just meet Edward in a dark forest. Vampire and all. lol. I have to get over these books cause it really is starting to depress me that I can't be young like these two anymore. sigh.

Want to see what I have been scrapping....

This is the September kit at Serendipitykits.com!! LOVE the colors of this line. Seriously. This layout is of my new great nephew Landon. Isn't he the cutest thing ever. Oh shoot. I guess maybe I shouldn't have posted it since it is a surprise to my neice. lol. Rachael...don't look.
Check out the kit and you will fall in love. We also have a new blog....link to come soon! I can't wait to show you what the serendipitykits DT has been up to.
This weekend was a lot of fun. Billy and I spent a lot of good quality time together with out the kids. Today we spent most of the day in north GA watching our son repel from a 60 ft wall...and fly down a zip line. Very nerve racking to say the least. We got our garage door fixed from the storm last week. Still have to replace the TV and DVD player. And sit down for this....are you ready...I decided to REREAD Twilight. Yep...I just couldn't get enough of Edward and Bella so I am starting all over again...lol.

and more reading
I haven't read this much in a very long time. Actually the last time I read this much was when HP 5 came out and I tried to cram all 5 into a week.
I LOVE this series. I am on book 4 now. I am trying to read it soooooo slowly so that I can make it last longer. I will be so sad to not read anymore about Bella and Edward. Oh I can't wait for the movie to come out!!!
Nothing much else going on. I did manage to pry the book away and scrap a page. I just need to get it stitched and uploaded. But on the scrapping home front I do have some fun news...I had two layouts picked up for the Scrap n Art Ezine (Nov/Dec). That is fun. This will be the first time with them so I can't wait to see the ezine. I haven't really submitted much.....just not enough time...but I am going to "try" this weekend to do that.
Oh....and the shocker for today...I was looking at Shawn as we were stopped at a red light and what did I see????? 3 chin hairs!!!! WHAT!!!! hello...he is only 15...he shouldn't have facial hair yet should he??? Gasp. I am. not. handling the growing up thing very well. Let me just say!

I've been away....
just for a short while. I was introduced to the book series "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. I started reading them last Tuesday and just finished book 3 today. Considering I am working and running the kids around I thought I read them pretty quickly. I have one more book to get and I am kicking myself for not buying it the other day when I bought 2 and 3. It will drive me nuts until I can get to the store tomorrow to get it.
I have never been so in love with a series next to Harry Potter. It's a vampire/werewolf type book but the love that Edward (the Vampire) has for Bella (the human) and visa versa.....it is just amazing. I would fall asleep wishing that I had that kind of love. Don't get me wrong...I know my husband loves me more than anything but the way Edward would stroke Bella's face....or just lay there with him in her harms.....it was mesmerizing. And something I truly longed for. I guess everyone does. Maybe that is why it is so appealing. I just couldn't put the book down...I kept wanting to read more and more about their love....the surprises...the dangers...what he would do for her. Just simply amazing writing. It is a little different than my Stephen King normal but there is something to say about a good writer. They will sweep you in...in just a few chapters...and your hooked.
I STRONGLY recommend these 4 books. I have never sat down and just re-read a book but I do think I will have to re-read these simply for the Edward/Bella love fix.
I did get a few pages done this morning for Serendipitykits.com....I will post them tomorrow. And I did get my bathroom repainted. So really 5 days of reading, painting and a little scrapping. I think I did well....lol. Oh and I did attend the yearly arts and crafts festival only to cry for a good while because it was the last time my daughter would perform in the band at the festival. Man this year is going to be hard. To many "last times".

Surely it can't be....
September already??? I mean seriously.....!!!
WOW. Well we are full swing into football season. The Raiders continued their 12-0 season last year with a win this year for the pregame and the first game of the season this past Friday. This Friday they have off but the band will be playing at the Annual Arts & Crafts festival. We are hoping Tropical Storm Hanna keeps the rains away long enough for us to enjoy some of the festival saturday. Then we are back to football games until well into November. 5 Competitions this year. I will miss one while I visit my Tally friends in S.C. I thought maybe I might be able to make it back in time but I don't think I will. That one is being held in Gordon Co. which is several hours away.
Today was a so-so day. I can't say that I don't feel good....I'm feeling okay I guess...but there just has been something "not right" about how I feel today. Not sick but just weird feeling. I have my guesses. This is my first "real" month after my surgery and I am wondering if my body is just not in the swing of things just yet. It's not doing what it is suppose to I guess and that just has it going for a loop. I don't know. I am going to curl up and read Twilight this evening. I am glad the ladies at Tally mentioned it. I am in love with it so far.
I finished my Halloween swap stuff this evening. I think I found a box so I just need to get it all wrapped up. I dont' know why I decided to send glass....cause now I have to worry about it breaking. But I hope to get it mailed out this week.
anyway.....I'm ho-hum feeling so I think I will just head to the couch now. night everyone
