Another week flew by

This week was just yuck. Glad it flew by!
We have really enjoyed the weekend. Shawn's basketball game was yesterday. they did fantastic.
I've scrapped a ton this weekend. 6 layouts, 1 card and 1 altered project! Wish I could share them but just not yet. Gotta wait until the 1st of February :)
Hope all is going great your way.
Big hugs to everyone.
I am going to bury myself in genealogy today because I got me some fun books to help me along.
Oh and LOST fans......this week....woooohooooooo

SNOW...

Finally we got some snow. Not really anything much but enough that the kids had fun making snow balls and just playing out side. Shawn even made a snow angel. After I took this pick it snowed a lot more and then became sleet. I didn't get any more pictures because it got dark. I am sure most of it will be gone in the morning cause the sleet was turning to rain. oh well...it was nice while it lasted.
Haven't scrapped a ton lately but here is what I have done over the last few days. It was for a Body Challenge at TallyScrapper. To scrap about something you liked or didn't like about yourself...your body. I was not as brave as some to scrap my whole body. The layouts they did were simply amazing and truly raw and open. Amazing ladies.
It's been a crazy week. Just kid stuff. Work stuff. I've not been in the mood to scrap lately which I hate but I am trying where I can. I just sat down and sketched out a few things. Be looking at the ScrapShanty because I will be using one of them for our Sketch upload :)
Counting down the days to the weekend. Just a basketball game and then I think I will try and just scrap. I really haven't been submitting to any calls either. It's been a while. I sent stuff in for the Prima DT call but yeah...I was not even close to being in the same group as the ones they picked. Wow their work rocked!

What a long week

It's been a crazy week at work. Today was just about to send me over the edge. So at 2:45 I packed up and just came home. Took something for this headache and scrapped. I think scrapping is just the best therapy ever!!!!

oh and by the way...KAYLA PASSED ECONOMICS!!! woohooo AND she passed the writing portion of the graduation test! WOHOOOOO

Nothing new here...

nothing exciting. Sorry...lol
School started back today along with scouts and basketball practice so it's back to the regularly scheduled program. Glad the kids are back into school. They were driving me bonkers.

We did find out my daughters case worker (who rocked by the way) is very ill and will be out the rest of the year. Man...we finally find someone who gives a hoot about her and how she does in school and now he is gone :( I sure hope he will be okay. And I hope Kayla can rise above and finish this year.

Been diggin my head down into the genealogy stuff. It's gotten really fun but it is very time consuming and really took me away from the scrap table this weekend...along with guitar hero...I'm addicted...lol

OMG...

I just can't believe it. It was such a close point race and so much talent....I got a message this morning welcoming me to the Spring TallyScrapper DT!! I am sooooo super excited!!! I have had so much fun here since my friends brought me over there. They are a hoot to be around and just so much inspiration! Thank you for letting me be a part of the DT for the next 3 months. I know it will be a blast!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

What a year of firsts this will be for us. Kayla "should" start as a senior in 6 months. She will also turn 18 in 5 months. She heads off to New York City in just as little as 4 months. I will be a nervous wreck that week. Shawn starts high school and also turns 15 and can drive. eeek. Yep it is a year of firsts.

Check out IAmAScrapaholic and see what we have been doing with the January kit. It was so much fun. I have never played with the Prima Paintables before but I can tell you I am 100% hooked. They rock!
