Well I only ended up with about 2 hours sleep last night and then hit the stores shopping this morning. For 6 crazy hours...we hit Kohls (score), Target, Starbucks, Circuit City, Victorias Secret (Score), American Eagle, Claires and a few odd ball places. Then we went to Chili's for lunch. Came home...unpacked...wrapped everything...did a little online shopping and then took Kayla and my sister to go see Twilight. It was just as good the second time. I don't think I will ever get tired of watching that movie =)
Now we are home and I am extremely tired. I haven't heard from the boys so I am sure they didn't get anything today. Maybe tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow...I am NOT leaving this house!

Etsy shop and other things
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5545172 OK....you know you want to stop in and look around...maybe even pick up an item or two :) Perfect stocking stuffers! I have extended my special until the 30th...that is buy one bracelet get one free or Free shipping for anything in the store. After the first of the year I am afraid that the etsy store will be no more (or I may change things up totaly and just put in different things)....so come get what you can before it is all taken down!
Today is Kayla's surgery. We have several appointments this morning and the surgery is at 1. Please keep her in your prayers that it goes smoothly and no bone grafts are needed. When all this is done she can smile and not be embarressed and just be even more beautiful than she is now :) oh.....and cross your fingers...she went to several places yesterday for a job...several were hiring and told her to call back today to speak to the hiring manager. So we are "hoping" she can get a job from one of them...and soon....before I strangler her...giggle.
Update to come later this afternoon once we are back home from the drs.
UPDATE:
Kayla did great. It didn't take near as long as we thought it would and the dr came out with a thumbs up. No bone graft was needed. Thank you so much God for answering that prayer for me! It went smoothly and if you look hard enough you can actually see the post. Kinda icky. I didn't tell Kayla that...lol. She has 2 stitches and it really looks nasty right now. She is VERY loopy from being put to asleep. We thought they would do it under a local, etc but they decided to knock her out. she was so funny coming out of that stuff. Bitchy too. Geesh. lol. She is resting now...has taken her meds....bleeding some....but at least sleeping.

Good Morning fellow bloggers....
Have Sunday morning!
let me start off by saying...TWILIGHT ROCKED! OMG I am now even more in love with these books. The movie was wonderful. There was so much not in the movie that was in the books but that is so expected when your trying to cram so much into 2 hours but the love connection was so still there. I loved the characters. We laughed at times. We teared up at times. We swooned at times. It was great. And it was really great going with a group of ladies your same age that understands the attraction. the only part I didn't care for was the 100 other screaming tweens in the theatre too. I'm taking Kayla this Friday night to go see it :)
Today I have a jewelry party to go to. Not looking forward to the 1 hour drive but oh well...its some time away from the house I guess.
Sent in my DT call entry to Gutter Girlz last night. Will see how that goes. I know it is always hard to decide so I don't hold my breathe usually on DT calls. There are so many much more talented people out there.
Trying to get my Christmas lists complete. Just a few more people to buy for I think. The kids just are not getting a lot this year. I think I will sit down Thursday and wrap what I have because on paper it just don't look like much at all. Which makes me buy more than I need to right now. Tomorrow is Kayla's oral surgery and if things go well it will only cost us $1500 but if it doesn't...then they will have to do a bone graft from her chin and put her to sleep and that will be an additional $2500....I am so hoping it goes as planned because I don't want them having to do a bone graft on her. That just scares me. But we will see come tomorrow afternoon. Prayers would be so appreciated.
The Raiders lost Friday night to Grayson High School 17-7. I know they are sad that their playoffs are over but for me....I couldn't be more excited. The football season is finally over..w.ohooooo! Now the band just has to do the Christmas parade and then its concert season. YEAH! Kayla is playing the bass clarinet this concert season. She is the only one so maybe she will have a special part? So far she is passing everything at the second 9 weeks half way point. Shawn on the other hand...is failing math AGAIN with a 47. I am ready to just give up on this. seriously.
Well off to eat some breakfast, make my Thanksgiving dinner list, and work on some scarves that I am selling.

Having a bad day maybe...
maybe...that is why I am grumbly this evening. I weighed in this morning and gained 2 lbs. That just started my morning off wrong. then I come home to bills after bills. This week is going to be so hard with bills. House payment is due, a few large bills, insurance....and then there is Kayla's surgery monday so I am having to pull out of the savings for that. And then my husbands work has cut their overtime by 5 hours which will hit us about $100 a week. I'm in panic mode I think...which just ads to my frustration and grumbleness (is that even a word?).
I thought my etsy store would bring in a little extra moolah but yeah...that isn't working like I thought. I have some stuff left over that I can make a scarf or two to try and sell at work. But that is not something I can count on really. I wish I knew how to make extra money. Especially at this time of the year. I "think" I am close to being almost done with Christmas shopping but with only 4 more weeks to go....I know I still need some pricey things. ugh. Why does money always have to be a problem. I know things work out...it always does...but it is still frustrating and I get myself all worked up over it.
Kayla will be parking her car for a long while in just a few short weeks simply because she can't get a job around here. Bless her heart she has tried and tried and tried...not even Dominos would hire her. I know she doesn't have any experience but for goodness sakes....she has to start somewhere! I wish someone would just give her a little break and hire her. Even if just for the season rush.
The kids got their progress reports today and I am happy to announce they are passing but barely...Shawn has a 70 in one class and a 77 in the other and I think Kayla's lowest is a 76. With only 4 more weeks of this 9 weeks, the semester is almost over, and that sends me into yet another panic attack as I worry about them not passing and failing for the 1.2 year. And KAYLA CAN NOT fail darn it. I have ordered all her Senior stuff, etc...and Shawn....well he can't afford to fail anything with the way they new credits/hours are.
Anyway...just rambling...guess cause I am just upset and worried about things.

Happy Monday!
only a few more days....till Twilight. We have our tickets! 4:45 Friday afternoon. Then us girls are heading to Raffety's for dinner. It will be a blast. I have my new Forks Class of 2008 shirt (which is sooooo cool with my name on the back in the same class list as Edward - swoon) and my Team Edward button. I'm ready!
Today was pretty much just a standard monday. Lots to do at work. 2 days until weigh in which I hope I lose a little more weight by then. I am only 3 lbs away from my first goal of buying some new clothes :) I have lost 13 lbs so far and have dropped 2 pants sizes. pretty cool huh!
on the scrapping homefront: I decided...just...one...more...time...to give a few manufacturer DT calls a try. So I wrote up my email...hit send...and now to wait. And cross fingers. Being on DT's is just so much fun to me. I love getting to know the other members and become friends...and learn...and play with product. It really is a blast. Next month will be the last month I will get to be on one of the kit DT's. I'm sad. I've really loved it there...but....its time for a new team. So be looking for more information here so that you can try out for the team. Which leaves me lonely now and in search for another team to play with. I guess what ever is meant to be will be. I wanted to come home and scrap today but lord help me...I am so addicted to this Mob Wars and Vampire Wars on facebook that is now becoming a serious problem...lol. I thought genealogy took up my time but geeshhhh...being in these games is so addictive.
Health homefront: I have TOTALLY given up coffee. Can you believe it. I haven't had a cup in 8 days which I sooooo would love to have one BUT...I'm really trying to change how I eat and drink. I've tried to switch somethings to vegetarian or organic. Some are okay...some are just yuck and some are yuuummmy. Like these vegetarian chips I found. OMG they are delicious. Problem #1...I could eat the whole bag! Billy is feeling much better now which I am glad. That stuff was getting to be draining for us both. And I am finally starting to feel some human now. I still have periods where my sinuses hurt really bad but it is no where near what it was this time last week. I still have 4 more days of antibotics and then we will go from there. This weather is just not going to be friendly to me this year I don't think.
upcoming: are you tired of me talking yet..lol! Busy upcoming weeks. We will be preparing for Kayla's oral surgery this week. She goes on the 24th so I am starting to get nervous about the whole thing but it is something we need to do. Got a few projects I need to get down this week and we have Playoff game #2 against Grayson High School on Friday. So just a super busy week.
Well if you have read this far..thank you :)
hugs and night

It has been a fairly productive weekend. some friends came over and we scrapped yesterday. I got 2 pages done. Would love to share them but blogger is not being friendly today. Maybe tomorrow. Friday happenings...

Okay this sinus infection has got to go. Seriously. I am tired of not feeling good. I left work early today so I could come home and rest but yeah....what is rest. Which reminds me it is medicine time again. Guess I need to each...which brings on another subject. Being ditched for supper...twice now in one week. By the same person. That is starting to not sit very well with me. So here I sit, alone, hungry and not feeling well. Wonderful combination for a Friday night dontcha' think.
Here's my new favorite layout of Landon :) I did this one for this weeks Survivor challenge at Tally. Isn't he cute!
And speaking of scrapping...head on over to Serendipitykits.com and be on the look out for some fun giveaways soon.
Kayla is off to the first playoff game tonight. East Paulding vs Milton. I think if we lose this one we are out which is fine by me but ya know how those kids are...they like to win and keep going and going. Shawn and Billy are hunting. In the rain. Should be interesting. We want discuss how much $$ I dropped on groceries just for this 2 night hunting trip.
Tomorrow I have some great pals coming over to scrap and make cards and just do what ever. Should be lots of fun. I just like not having to leave the house..giggle. Maybe I will get my Christmas cards done considering I always like to mail them the day after Thanksgiving and that is like...ummmm...2 weeks away! WHERE is the time going for pete's sake.

What a wonderful day
I just want to thank everyone who made today so special for me. It was truly a perfect day. Even though I felt like crap from these ear/sinus infections...I couldn't of asked for a more wonderful day.
I get into my car this morning to head to work and my husband had left me a dozen roses. 6 red and 6 yellow. They were beautiful. When I got to work the girls had decorated my cubicle with spinners and balloons and signs. I was then showered with special gifts...a shot glass from Niagra Falls on the Canada side, a beautiful handmade pottery friend plate all the way from Illinois, a beautiful boquet of gerber daisies, so many wonderful cards. We went to lunch and had a great lunch. Came back to even more surprises...a hand baked pumkin spice cake with the most perfect card from the best 3 ladies...a Twilight T-shirt...Gift certifacte to Barnes and Noble (they know me well)....and just on and on.
It's so hard to receive things from people when your heart is made to give. But I thank each and every person who made my birthday so special and who MADE me accept that it is okay to accept things from others...that sometimes the giver deserves to be treated wonderful too. I love you guys!
and...Happy Birthday to me :) one year older now!

What a day...
what a day it has been. I had the day off but I swear I wasn't home more than 2 hours. I started my day at the cardiologist which went perfect. my BP was GREAT!!! Everything sounded good so I don't have to go back for 6 more months. Then I took a trip to Staples to pick up some ink. I have a Christmas present to work on and it will recquire some major ink and paper! Then I met my WONDERFUL friend Emily for lunch, who then gave me THIS
for my birthday! Does it not ROCK or what!!! I mean seriously how perfect of a gift!!!!! This is sooo flipping me. I think I will take it to work so the girls can drool over it...lol.
for my birthday! Does it not ROCK or what!!! I mean seriously how perfect of a gift!!!!! This is sooo flipping me. I think I will take it to work so the girls can drool over it...lol.Then we went to Kohls and I found a cute ornament...which reminds me I can't remember where I put it..hmmmm. Went to Michaels. Then back to the dr I go for a recheck on my sinus and ear infections. They were running late....and it turns out the Zpac I took must not of liked the strain of infection I had and the infections got seriously worse. BOTH ears this time and the sinus infection is worse. SOOOOOO I get one of those lovely antibiotic shots in the tush, which I might add hurts like a bugger, and sent home with 10 more days of antibiotics and congestion meds. I missed picking up Shawn...luckily Kayla got him...and I met Angie at the daycare where she gave me a gift that came to work this morning. My sister sent me a bouquet of fresh fruit. It is simply amazing. Take a peak at this....
I mean gosh there is chocolate covered bananas in there and strawberries and those flowers are pineapples and mellons. This is just the coolest thing and you bet I will eat the WHOLE thing! and it's good for you to boot...well minus the chocolate. Once I finally got home my daughter, who could not WAIT until tomorrow, gave me my birthday gift from her....
it is wonderful. The mushroom and flowers are raised and stick out 3-Dish from the cup. She did an outstanding job on this for her first time in pottery. She has a talent that is for sure. She gave me 3 more pots, 2 pinch pots and one coil pot. They are great.

I do believe it is the shot kicking in and I don't like it but anything to make this splitting headache go away.
And Robin...you will be proud because I am about to announce...TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY! There I said it...lol. Doesn't seem like anyone is going to let me not celebrate it so might as well jump on the band wagon huh...lol. Hey...it shouldn't depress me to much cause geezz I still have 3 more years until it turns to the 4-0! might as well celebrate the 30's while I have them right! and by the way....to all you guys/ladies...making tomorrow so special for me...it truly is appreciated from the bottom of my heart and I love you bunches! Smooches

There is nothing more wonderful
Than holding a precious baby. And I got to do just that yesterday. There is nothing more grand. More special. More magical. than a baby. Just to look into their sleeping face....and see a world of opportunities. to see hope. innocence. To snuggle with them while they are all wrapped nice and warm. hold their long, tiny fingers.
Yep. That was the best moment all day long. I didn't have a care in the world at that moment. It was fantastic!

Senior Night
Senior night was great. Once you take away the chilly air and the rain...it was fantastic. We laughed the whole walk down to the field because Kayla had wrote on her paperwork...band for 7 years. Once they started naming off people, student and their parents, they announced what they have completed in school...Kayla was so afraid they were going to say 7 years when everyone else was 4 years. We laughed that she was a massive repeater...lol! But once they announced Kayla and that she was escorted by her parents....they said she was in the marching band for ...........4 years...we giggled so hard that I don't remember what else they said...lol!
We got our pictures made before the walk and as she was excepting her medal and rose. We shook hands with the principle who thanked each one for giving their all for these last 4 years. And I am so proud because I didn't cry!!!!! then we walked her back up the stands where a few of her friends screamed WE LOVE YOU KAYLA and then she was hugged by one of the school police officers and was told what a great job she has done. It was really cool.
She got a braid to wear around her uniform sleeve but because of the rain...the kids ended up not wearing their uniforms so I just brought it home. She got a medal and a rose...and the parents....well...I think we should of gotten something at least...like a weekend getaway...or a night of no stress or just something for getting our children thru 12 years of school. But...natta. Maybe that comes later right???
Seriously though...I am very proud of her. 13 years of school and she is well on her way to being done. Only 6 more months and crossed fingers that she passes all her classes ;)
And Shawn...well...he is off on a very cool Scout camp out. Several months ago he was tapped out to become a member of the Order of the Arrow in Boy Scouts. Only boys that are elected by their peers can join. I am so excited that he was given this honor and I hope he enjoys himself this weekend. They have the "ordeal" each year that the new boys have to go thru. I'm very proud of him.
well...I am just simply a very beaming, proud mama tonight. period.
AND...on the football note....East Paulding lost tonight which gives us the 3rd seed in the playoffs. We are 3rd place in our region. No region champs this year but they did pretty darn well ending 9-2. So we start playoffs against Milton High School this next friday night.

So we start playoffs against Milton High School this next friday night.

and on we go...
to bigger and brighter things. The election is done. Time to move on.
I got the BEST surprise the other day....the Twilight Soundtrack CD from my wonderful, fantastic, across the country friend Rachel! It was an early birthday surprise. Yes you heard me say it Mrs Robin....my birthday is around the corner. Yipee right...lol. But anyway...thank you Rachel for a wonderful pick me up and a fantastic soundtrack. I can't get enough of it. Now I have to decide my birthday dinner at work and tomorrow is birthday cake and ladies...its not even here yet...lol. It's not until next week. But that is okay. nothing like surprises to chear you up.
Went to the dr yesterday. I try not to go when I can. I usually let it get to its worst before I ever go but to be honest....with DH still not feeling well and all the other stuff going on...I don't have time to have headaches and feeling drained. Turns out I have an ear and sinus infection so before it gets to the normal worst I let it get to...we have a steroid shot and zpac antibiotics to nip it in the bud now so I can get back to taking care of the rest of my family.

so many are happy this morning. I for one sit here crying. Hoping that they are all right....hoping that things do get better for this country...because at the moment...I am more scared of the out come of this election than I have ever been in my life.

ssspppt...hey "r"
it's not until next week...giggle....so I want mention it until then....so shhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone. lol. Love you bunches
Voting...
Well I voted. Several weeks ago actually. But I had a wonderful experience just now taking my daughter to vote for the first time. It was great peaking in and seeing her take advantage of one of our wonderful rights in America! So you know of course I will be adding her "I just voted" sticker to her Senior album I am making ;)
And what about this voting....history in the making no matter how you look at it. But even though it is history in the making I have to admit that this has been a very stressful vote and one creating lots of night time anxiety for me. Crazy huh. But oh so true. I mean I knew how I was going to vote along time ago but what is the stress and anxiety over??? ....the not knowing. not knowing how this will all turn out...how the country will do with the results...what will happen the next 4 years. It really has been bothering me. Why so much I am not sure because I know sometimes it takes more than 4 years for things to either work out or to happen. But still. Maybe it is change. Maybe the idea of huge changes when I really feel comfortable...maybe that is it. Who knows. Either way...what is done is done and its not like you can go change things ya know. Can't say "oh I didn't like how you turned out afterall so lets knock you out of office"...lol. KWIM.
But I do love that so many people ARE getting out to vote. that is how the country should be. People should be more passionate about other things too...like they are about this election. Take that passion and move it now to something else. It will really make a difference I am sure.
Other than voting nothing much is going on around here. Worked on a few more necklaces for my shop. Worked on a few pages. Sat on the computer for way to many hours. Getting ready for Senior Night friday night. Trying to decide if I can make CKU Nashville next year since good gosh amighty they are having it the week before graduation...eeek! Last football game of the season and then playoffs begin next week. Yes we made playoffs. Part of me is happy for the team and the other part is like oh my could we end this season already please!! And wow can you believe that Thanksgiving is really 3 more weeks away. GEESH!

November 2
already! I mean jeeezzz..Slow down already. I've been sitting here thinking of everything going on this month...Christmas is only a skip away and I have not got my kids anything. Natta. Zilch!
This Friday we have Senior Night at the football field. Billy and I get to walk the field with Kayla. Very cool huh. It will be our last season football game too. They beat Cherokee this past Friday 40 something to zero and Harrison won. So we have to win this Friday and Harrison lose to Etowah for us to be Region Champs. Either way we will still be in the playoffs. Which means the season just keeps on going and going.
So what all do we have going on this month: lets see...birthdays for my sister, Becca, Sara Beth, Jordin, myself...Senior Night...Kaylas oral surgery...my mom and dad's anniversary...delivery of that yummy Scout popcorn...Shawn attends the OA tapout campout...gotta send the boys out hunting at least 2 more times....Black Friday shopping...Thanksgiving of course...and lets not forget THE TWILIGHT MOVIE!!! woohoooo. I'm all set with my girl friends for a night out on the town with a dinner and a movie on the 21st. We can't wait.
and a little page from me that I did for the Tally Survivor Challenge this week. We had to use flower cut outs, a large picture and it had to be of our family. I like this one. alot.
Okay nothing else much going on....going to scrap some more today. Pack up Halloween decorations. Maybe start on some christmas stuff.
